Hey guys,

i know this subject has cropped up a few times, but i just want your opinions on tubbing my rear arches, im going to be running 6x10 wellers and a rear beam. should i tub them or just leave them standard?

i wouldn't bother if your going with tens, as you'd run into other problems if its for road use aswell if you plan on going that low such as speed humps, and various ground clearance challenges etc before the tyres rub.

I would do it why you are at the stage you are, will be more hassle after the resto with paint etc. It's not that hard to do.

i say do it now at this stage, im runing 10x6 wellers too, and if you want it anywhere near low it still rubs, as it is now i can lower the rear and the radius arm hits the (flat bottomed) boot floor before the wheels rub, i can get pics after avon if ya like
as for arches that is a good point, my mig arches will cover it, but it depends if you have a particular arch in mind

Yes i moved to the darkside *happy*

from not tubbing mine, and running my car low i have crease both rear quaters very slightly but its hidden by my arches. i will tub my next car when i make a showy monster but for now i will have to raise it a lil.

I bet my first wank came quicker than your first mini turbo

These new modern turbos with their quick spool up time, would make the competition harder.

i plan to do mine because i want the car low and because of how wide the wheels are, 3.5" stick out past the rear arch lip lol
