hi was just wondering how light members have gone (kerb weight) as i no starndard mini saloons weight is 1406lbs with manual trans
as i need to kick as much weight out as possible as i am sticking a bike engine in the front and staying front wheel drive
i have fibreglass front, doors, boot,seats,polycarbonate windows,custom front subframe i am currently trying to make a beamaxle any ideas thanks

cool was trying to get it to at least 800lbs be happy at that be same weight as kitcar so was hoping for same sort of performance thanks

There is no one magic weight saving trick, instead go though everything & I mean everything and ask you self, firstly is in needed, and if it is how can you make it lighter.

363 is pretty immposibble. im going light on evrything andhaving nothing in the car at all tht isnt used and im aiming for 599kg bassically anthing starting with a 5. this is possible i hope

The lightest car Ive heard of was 395kg which was Carls Twinny before it was a twinny. Lots of clever engineering went into it to get to that weight.
If a bike engine is lighter than A series then you could come close to 400kg(ish)

I seriously doubt it!

if its only for drag racing could always do a shorty splint shit handeling but could work

nar but what does a standard 1275 engine weigh i dont no answer but id say bike engine is half the weight of that
