I'm after a rust proofer such as the above but I want one that dries, well... dry!

The ones I've used in the past remain slightly sticky and as such look bloody awful once they have some dirt thrown at them. I want something to treat the nooks and crannies of subframes, wheel arches etc, but that won't look awful after a couple of months of use.

Anyone have any prior experience?

Mitsi Evo 7, 911, Cossie. & all the chavs ...... won no problem

waxoyl is well proven and wil nearl harden 95% after a few years but ........ attracts the dirt

If you decide on Dynatrol dont use the thin stuff AV8 or is it AV9, go for the the thicker AV38. The others dont last as I have found out to my dissmay.

It seems Dinitrol 4010 Corroheat is the stuff I want - dries to a clear hard wax coating, not a soft wax like most of the others.

Sounds like what I put on the underside of my merc when I repaired the sill taken out by a well hidden iron post. It does not last long. Your better of with the thicker waxy product its more robust for out doors in my opinion.

One word of caution I was given - the hard stuff is fine until chipped in any way (which is inevitable) and then it's the perfect mud,sh*t n moisture trap so rotting the car out where you can't see it.
Only say it as I was looking for the 'hard' stuff too and a long time restorer bod warned me off.......

best of luck

Thanks for the heads up - I only plan to put the hard stuff where it can be seen, ie where it would look shit if it was covered in shit. As such I ill hopefully be able to keep an eye on it. Everywhere else will get something more conventional and proven.

The car is the wife's fair weather weekend toy, so keeping on top of it should be fairly straight forward.
