Its always good to see a better figure !!

I also got 0.6 sec off my time for last year so was quite pleased until I learned that the Metro van was a full 2 seconds quicker !!

Well done John and Andy -hope you got home safely, and thanks for the parts.

Did get to see "the DON" for the first time, and it did 11.80 dead on Saturday, but blew the HG on the run I saw on Sunday morning -bad luck and a poor end to the weekend.

Has an entertaining drive both to and from Avon, but boy, was it hot !!

Saterday, first run 1 bar of boost, to get used to teh new suspension and gear linkage etc

2.0 60ft
5.3 330
8.1 660
89.61 mph
10.3 990
12.4@114 across the line

on my second run i upped the rev limiter slightly (to 8200rpm) as on teh previous run i was bouncing on the limiter across the line. doubt it was the cause but cracked a liner mid-run and steamed all my coolant out the exhaust. ran a 13.6@68mph lol

over the moon with that first pass though, iv never ran so well on a saterday before, happy wit the new suspension!

would like to thank tom and carl for sorting me out with a head gasket (origionally suspected this but the truith was revealed when the gasket was changed :( ) and Rob and keith for getting me on there trailor and delivering me a safe distance out to fone the AA! .. made it home at 5am!

turbo 16v k-series 11.9@118.9 :)

All home safely.

Me and John's best time for the metro van was 14.5. He's got the slips so can put the rest down.

I can't drive *hehe!*

Top weekend.

Can't find the sodding slip though for that run. Must be in the van somewere.

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

best i managed was:
2.45 60ft

9.5 660
76.39 mph
12.27 990
14.72 @ 95.18 mph.

Cheers Mark,

We are very impressed with it. We were hoping for a low 16 or high 15 for it. So the 14's are amazing to us.

On my first run on saturday I came in with a 15.1 with a bogged start!!!

Did 14.8's rest of the day and only managed 1 run today which was the 14.6.

I believe Andy ran consistent 15.5-15.6's. He must be more mechanically sympathetic than I am.

I reckon next year we need an SC Box as I believe we are on borrowed time with the helical (not to mention only getting about 25ft down the strip before having to snag second). More boost and maybe a more modern turbo.

While speaking with Robert he guesstimated we have about 140ish-bhp+ based on the specs and times.

I'd like to get it on the rollers at some point and hopefully confirm it.

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

Done a new PB of 13.0 but missed 3rd gear on that run - Gutted, after that consistant 13.1 as I couldnt get the traction right when the track got really hot.
Knocking on 12s door now

I seriously doubt it!

Thanks. I'm chuffed to bits.

It's just a shame that it took so long to get round for the next run and that there where so many stoppages and those little kids on bikes that queue jump....

Yeah them drag bikes get on my nerves, they just slow the day down. They should just keep that weekend as advertised 'Mini Showdown'! Only minis and their variants be allowed.
The dragsters get to do there runs nearly every weekend so why should they interupt our day. Rant over. *happy*
