hey chaps, ive got a feeling it could be major but hopefully not!

Was in 2nd gear around 4,500 revs a/r was mid 12, changed into 3rd foot down a/r was low 13's. then suddenly loss of power and a sh*t load of smoke. filled the car and was billowing out of the bonnet.
stopped and found clutch breather bellowing out smoke and a load of oil been dumped out of timing chain breather. also was misfiring.
since then just parked it up as have no time to look yet.

along with house renovation, child care and working shifts havent had time to investigate further. just looking for opinions on what could possibly be.
oh i have had plugs out and felt round (roughly) dishes of pistons and no holes. i dont think anyway.

any opinions most welcome.

cheers

jamie

As above. comp test worth it just in case you've lost the rings and cant see with the head off.

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

mine did the exact same, but mine was due to a hole being created in the head then water was being sucked into the cylinders and more than likely down past the rings into the oil.. take all the plugs out and see if theres any water in them? then if not like people have said you will have made a hole somewhere
