Just a little reminder that were all not invincable, yesterday afternoon my aunt after coming to see us had a massive car crash luckally she is realitivly okay.

she was driving down the 417 after a very long couple of days and the tirednes and a little loss of concentration (she didnt fall asleep) with cross winds sent her up a verg at 70 sending her 50ft into a feild, it barrel rolled 5 times with one end over end... she managed to be cut free from the car and walked away to the ambulence, suffered a broken collor and come ba brusing and a few cuts.

it was abit of a wake up and deffinatly a shock that just a little laps of concentration can cause all of that. even if you think your fine often your not.

so please remember to take breaks

1.2 corsa c it was a 3 or 4 on the ncap, the police said the only reason she is alive because the car rolled it took most of the force out.
later on maybe getting the rest of the belongings from the car will try and get a picture.

Timely reminder.

I've got to drive 1000 miles over the weekend. I already feel knackered.

Glad aunty survived.

I was driving home earlier this year and a bloke behind me was clearly nodding off. Drifting into the middle of the road, etc. I could see his head doing the nodding dog. Eventually we got to a gental left hand corner and he totally nodded off, crossed the centre line and there was a head on collision more or less alongside me.

Glad she is ok, the man was right. Rolling cars is gental compared to hitting a tree.

Lordy, thank goodness she's [relatively] OK. The Corsa stood up to it pretty well, all things considered.

These new modern turbos with their quick spool up time, would make the competition harder.

That is a mess! Glad all is OK.

The thing is about roll cages, unless you have decent harnesses, a helmet and roll cage padding they can be pretty dangerous themselves.

Lucky her !

Did you notice the spare wheel out the window ?
It was probably not properly hooked and it proves it can be very dangerous !

Once I was behind a 106 on the Nationale 10 *wink* damn straight line at 90 km/hj => 60 miles an hour and it suddenly starded to turn side to side then oversteered 180° to end up in the sink on the side of the road.
So I honked and just passed by, can't give a hand to a peugeot owner, right ?

*happy*

stop being silly, I stopped to check if they were OK and as they were and somebody else was calling the police, I left.

But there was no flattened tire or what, the driver probably put one wheel in the side of the road and it an be tricky to manage.

glad to hear she is OK - you have to respect the modern safety standards now - a few years ago might not have had the same outcome
