Hi, i have a metro turbo lump in my mini but the other day it started smoking blue a bit on idle after rolling road. Im thinking its possible more turbo side? if so just wondering if it is esiaer to remove the turbo whilst engine is in or would it be an engine out jobby???

If you have an original steel oil feed and dont want to break it, removal can be tricky.

If you dont care about damaging it, removal is very easy. I certainly would not be removing the engine.

In otherwords, replace the steel oil feed with a braided line while you're doing the job.

I bet my first wank came quicker than your first mini turbo

These new modern turbos with their quick spool up time, would make the competition harder.

Rubicon: i had all the compression tests done and they were very strong so the bloke at rolling road said it seems to be more turbo side than engine. it pulls fine and producing 103 BHP but could be a seal gone in turbo i think.

Apbellamy: cheers for that ill look up and order one. cheers fellas
