since boost gauges are on topic, my boost gauge sits on zero with out feed then when i start engine up it goes to -4/5 psi on tick over and when i rev it it goes to 0 but the dump valve blows off? is this normal and will it goe to what im boosting when i drive it? i ain t driven it yet just presumin i aint devopin enough pressure on revs rather then drivin? any clues?

That sounds about right. You won't develop any real boost until you put the engine under load i.e. start moving.

The dump valve will still sound because there will still be a bit pressure in the system when you close the butterfly.
