hey i'm going to buy a new 2nd gear.

my one at the moment is fine but i want to replace it with a new one for piece of mind as i'm about to strip it.

are these gears as good as the original cast? anyone had problems with these?

if i replace 2nd gear should i replace anything else.

the box has just been rebuilt, we used the same gear set though looked good.

Hey Nick, be careful here. There are 3 different types of 2nd Gear for an all synchro Box.

Do you know what you have in there?

BTW, who supplied your engine / gearbox?

It come with my engine. Then was rebuilt.

It's a 1994 rover converted back to carb.

Will pull the gears before ordering or check with my mechanic.

Just wanting to know the strength is? I would prefer a new gear
Then use the 16yr old one in there
