Who would be interested in a Go-Karting

I thought of this a couple of weeks ago, but discussed it with Neil8p who comes on here, last night, and we think it is a good idea, so canvassing opinion now really-

So the rough plan-

To organise a go karting tournament type thing one weekend, then afterwards go for a beer or two or some food maybe.

There is an OK indoor karting place near me, have been before and for ?30ish quid they do a good tournament with a timed qualifying, heats, and then a final for everyone. The track also has a hump back bridge, so you go over the track and then under the bridge.

I just thought it might be good to put a few names to faces etc, it seems there are a few people from the forum that are around the South Yorkshire area, and also it is _fairly_ central and good for motorways etc......

So who would be interested?? Reply to the thread

I would love to join in, also depending on money though, as I imagine we'd crank up the petrol too. When are you thinking of doing it?

As Neil said I'm up for it too. I've been to Avago karting (Swinton) loads of times, very well organised and there is a seperate spectator area so partners/kids/wimps can watch in comfort without having to breathe fumes while enjoying a pint or two.

Didn't know they'd put a bridge in though, hope it's not too steep don't want too much speed scrubbed off.

The missus and another friend are showing a bit of interest as well.

My missus doesn't come on here so I'm fairly safe to say if they do go karting there'll be a some back markers for the quicker drivers to try and get past :)

Well I am glad a few people seem keen. From what I gather most of us are skint ish at the moment so I suggest a couple of months time for the date?

I will look into the pricing a bit more closely and see what I can find out.
