The seal at the end of the output shaft housing, where the pot slides onto the splined shaft... What sort of oil pressure is behind that seal when the pot is on? I've replaced those seals twice now but they keep seeping oil.

Also, is there a neat quick way of getting the output plates shimmed right 1st time as they seep oil too. I did order some anti-leak rover gaskets but not fitted them yet, they are like the normal gasket but they have a rubber beading all round on both sides so hope they will fix the prob. Also i've seen some ppl fill all the bolt holes with sealant too.

no oil pressure as its part of sump .if faces aren`t spotless and flat it`ll leak , try some black stuff on it( gasket sealer )

Everyone knows that instructions only have to be read if the thing doesn't work....
