following on from my recent fire woes i have been sticking the car back together, was sorting the timing out today when i noticed a fair amount of exhaust fumes from the back of the bay.

At first i put it down to it burning the remaining crap off following the fire.. on closer inspection i could hear a 'puff-puff' sound like a blowing exhaust and can feel air coming from around the turbine housing. ffs.

so i guess i have cracked the exhaust turbine housing.. possible?

More than likely one of the steel gasket's. the housings usually crack inside

Mark check your manifold aswell as mine had a hairline crack directly under the float bowl.

I have had them leaking between the core and housing but only for a few miles after clocking them.
