anyone know anything about running a x-box off an 12v inverter, any does donts?

Look for one that is Electrically Isolated (for safety) Pure Sine Wave with 3% or less THD, like this one

but make sure it is at least has a rated output 15% higher than what your X-box needs.

i fitted a ps2 into my mates car 6 years ago, its still going strong now
i just used a normal inverter with an rms watt rating higher then the consumption of the ps2
i did the same with a pc in my supra before buying a specific converter for use in cars, no problems

i cant see why the xbox whould be different
