hi i have just taken my turbo mini out after having the carb rebuilt and rolling roaded and i seem to have a lot of blue smoke coming from the exhaust when pulling off, and when i get going the car seems to jump around the rev range stalling and starting again, any one got any idea thanks mike

Blue smoke tends to mean that you are burning oil. Does it do it all the time hot or cold?
A compression test would be a good place to start, repeated with a squirt of oil to check the rings.
Also pull off the plenum pipe and check for deposits in there.
Who did the carb work?

CORRECT! if the engine didnt burn oil before you problem lies with an over rich mixture ..... indused boost bog ...... correct the mixture problem

Are you sure the smoke is blue and not black, if it is black and overfueling enough to effect your running like this you should be able to smell the fuel.

the mini smells of fuel atm anyway because the carb leaked thats why it went in for a rebuild then i fought while its in there stick it on the rollers to check it for another show season! mike
