Hi guys, been having a leak on my old slave so I changed it yesterday for a new one. Swapped it over no problems, bled it through as per instructions in Haynes.
I took it for a spin and the pedal has quite a high resistance.
Re bled the clutch again and I'm still having problems.

The pedal has high resistance
It seems to slowly return back to the top
And also the biting point has come right to the top of the pedal!

I didn't have these problems before just had to top up every other day!

It's a verto by the way

Cheers
Russ

Yep basically it was aftermarket tat and when mounted on the transfer case it wouldn't bleed correctly. Ended up taking it off the transfer housing and holding it with the bleed nipple vertical and bleeding it that way.

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

the best way I have found of bleeding is to stick a clear pipe on the bleed nipple and stick it back into the master cyl, you can then open the nipple a fair way and pump the fluid through at a fair rate.

lol,

its worth mentioning that as you pump there will be some tiny bubbles that get sucked in through the bleed nipple thread as you release the pedal, you can ignore these, or you can stick some grease on the tread of the bleed nipple to stop it.

Thanks, I bled it like 4 times and tested it after each go!
I shall have another go with these tips and see how it goes, it's a non gen but it was needed sharply as clutch fluid was pissing out of the front of the old one! Needed topping up daily!

Failing that I may try the hose!
I'll give it a go tomorrow

Cheers

I couldn't get mine to bleed in situ, so I reached for the easi-bleed and the job was done in seconds.

I've also opted for the ezi-bleed thingy'.

It really does work well and as above, you don't need a helper.
