i have a metro turbo engine, that i belive may be a factory recon unit, if these even exist.

the engine number starts VG i belive.

reason i think its a recon engine is that it has been linered back to standard bore.

will liners take a +40 bore and will this be acceptable to use in a turbo application, sorry if this is a silly question.

There was a couple of years worth of production where the block castings were of such poor quality that they were being linered while brand new at the factory before they ever got into a car.

Full engine number (if it's the real one still attached) should tell if it's a factory recon or standard factory lined.

in short you will have two sizes to go at +20 overboar and +40

i think thats the limit with liners but ....... has anyone done a +60 a would like to know ?
