What do you class as decent, and reasonable ?

And is it a core you need, or a complete unit ?

And what shape, size ?

9.85 @ 145mph
202mph standing mile
speed didn't kill me, but taxation probably will

Have a look at the Mondeo diesel (TDDi/TDCi) 99-06 ones.

Quite plentiful in breakers and on eBay, the end caps are no good as it stands for a steel front (OK in a flip front) but they are plastic and come off easily.

I've just dismantled a spare one myself.

Good size and compact tube/fin type core.

From some crude flow tests I did, they flow better on the pressurised side than the equivilant size tube/plate chinese ones that seem to be so common now. (there is a thread on it somewhere in my name.....)

Schrödinger's cat - so which one am I ???

Docking Engineering, Pace, A&H etc will all supply cores. The relatively small size you'd use in a Mini, shouldnt even be that expensive.

Would likely be handier than trying to make something else fit. Buy one to the exact size you want.
