finally! My blow through charger is home!

Hi all. Just wanted to let anyone who is interested, that my blow through charger setup is finally home exactly two years after starting it! I drove it home from Slarks to Swindon, a thirty-odd mile drive, and it was faultless. Its going to take a bit to learn how to use it, but from the couple of blasts i did do, it was truly stunning. Very very little torque steer and pulls from 2k all the way untill the noise is to much to take! Still quite thirsty, no belt slip whatsoever but i did, once, get a tiny bit of clutch slip. I do have pics but as i dont have a PC at the mo, cant post up any pics. Am hoping to get it to the mini day at castle coombe in september and gingerly take it round the track! Cant wait to take her in doors out in it tomorrow.

Well bananas and curlys are 153 bhp and same again torque, pulling from 2k untill your ears bleed!

How does it feel compared to the suck through setup? that made 155 on the same rollers didn't it? Is this blow through setup noticeably faster? would you say it's been worth all the effort?

Its the torque that is the most noticeable over the last one and the charger is even louder and its further away! The torque on the old setup was 130 @ 4k where its now over 150 @ 2k and keeps pulling. Its so smooth and just goes and goes. Took the woman out in it today and she was shaking when we got back! But then so was i! lol Its better than i expected and then some. It was well worth the effort but it would never normally take 2 years to do. I just want to say a massive thanks to Neil and Brian at slarks and everyone else for help and advise. Its really an achievment for Slarks. They done all the work, i just paid them! Lets hope he gets his head down and starts producing this in a kit. It works brilliantly and sounds like nothing on earth! Im so chuffed. Bring on castle coombe! (i think!?)

Thanks guys. Just took it for a little drive and grew some balls and gave it full throttle and high end gear change for the first time and it was brilliant! Just kept pulling and pulling. Feels so strong with no flat spots. Had a little belt slip in 4th at top end so need to get a longer adjuster arm and get some extra tension in the belt, what tiny slack there is. I hope not to get spotted by the side of the road again, fingers crossed! lol There are some vids on you tube of it on the rollers but nothing of it out and about. My problem is not having a PC to upload anything to! I would love to get it down combe in September and the bonus is my insurance covers me for it to!
