Force Racing ICT Dept Manager Miglia Turbo Am frum Yokshyer tha noes!

*hehe!*

Now theres your prroobllemm!!

Tutha Side

Before anyone says it was running lean! It fookin wasnt, ive checked! I think my timing was out and i some kind of problem with my cooling, people in the know who were there at the time all put it down to massive heat prior to the turbo coming in and as soon boost pumped hot air into the already hot engine basically melted it! directly under the inlet valve.

Opinions are welcome but im happy with the diag that was made on the sat.

Melty melty. You'll have to dial out the offset with the megajolt. Told you that bracket was out *smiley*

I notice the top ring land is actualy broken, perhaps that was what went first, then as the second ring lang, which is thinner, gets loaded up also broke, then the blow by just melted it.

I would go along with the high engine temperature, which might have caused det to break the top ring land

yes as sprocket and john says mike, high ambient temps plus too much advance on the timing leading to det caused this mike, ....are those pistons made out of dairy milk ?

Others are fine no signs of any issues, the melted piston is no 4 too. Which also points to the heat as well. When i limped it back to camp i noticed the temp gauge said 120!! :-0 ive always had problems with cooling, ive changed everything barring my water pump so thats getting swapped and its getting dry decked also. Its getting setup on rr before mitp so i should be good for then.

Front mount rad Mike? I had endless problems keeping the coolant temps down when the car was not moving. I put my issues down to the rad though as it was a 21mm core 28 row double pass. I just didn't think the core size was suitable for double pass.

Is the block likely to be fubared mike or need a bigger overbore? Cos I'll do you a swap if it will go again with a bigger overbore.
