roof is personal choice imo, i like the same as the body,

for the wheels i cannot see a problem, if the arches are cut out to allow the wheels to turn correctly they might rub slightly in places but noting major, if you hear it rubbing turn back a little

Yes i moved to the darkside *happy*

You can buy plastic spacers to stop the rack from being able to turn too far. They were fitted as an original part on 13" wheeled mokes as I remember.

coulor is up to you...

the wheel clearance depands on may things... brakes, rack etc

best to try it to see if it scrubs... if it does rack limiters are avalable from KAD for about a tenner

I have 13 x 5.5 and they are fine, but I would think that 8s could be more of a problem. It also depends on the offset of the wheels.

As mentioned it is probably worth fitting the platic stoppers on the rack.

8x13 will rub the inner arch, 100%. You therefore have two options.

1) Buy an MPI rack
2) buy some of these

I fitted some of these as I had Minispares tie rods and the caliper pipes kept wiping out on the 6 pots - I found that i could not get round the hairpin at the Pestalozzi hillclimb see image of hairpin

13 inch are not the best on a mini anyway for the road but 8x13s are just a waste of time ( I ran 13s for a while btw)

They do reduce the lock massively, but never had to do a 3-point turn on a hillclimb yet.

I love my 5.5x13s on the road, and my 6x12s too. I also think the 7x13s on the hillclimber are the best option. But I agree, I can see no reason to fit 8 inch wide wheels. With the 7" slicks our car is right on the limit of 'slip or tip' i.e the car has a tendency to tip onto two wheels rather than slide - not good.

All personal choice though really.
