These are mine, cost about 40 quid for the pair, including bending costs.

they are to be subjected to the hole saw treatment still though!

side mounds would be even easier, one less bend without angles as a consideration.

i used the ones that came with my seat and mounted them on some 1"x1" box section, i found the seat was too wide to mount it straight to the floor

ok i think as i was half asleep and been working all day i didnt explain myself correctly.

i have alloy side mounts (corbeau ones)

but i need to figure out i can fit them into the car nicely.

there on a excel size corbeua revolution so its a big seat and need to mount it asclose to centre as i can for it to clear.

i just wondered what people have done to the shell to mount the alloy mounts to the car.

I have a second cross member in there, meets the tunnel just behind the handbrake. Apologies for the out of focus pic!

Turbophil had a butt plug made that seemed to be suitable. He may have finished with it now and have it kicking around spare

No probs Jamz, if you need a close up (in focus!) I can sort some out tonight.

The biggest hassle is sorting out the captive nuts for the alloy mounts to bolt to. You can see the welded in plate (presumably with a nut welded to the underside) on David's last pic (mini93).

Cheers, Dave.

no its ok :) thats good enough. im jsut after different ideas. im going to need to moutn mine further back than yours though as im 6,3 and a larger guy ha. i have removed door bins and seat lip so have the room. ill probably just end up welding square tube to the inner sill step and the tunnell then brace it to the floorin the middle
