no idea what the reason for pulling the old boy was, coppers didn't look best pleased though.

My mum got stopped a few years ago. They put the blues lights on just before a bridge and a blind bend, so she stopped just after where it was safe and got a right bollocking for not stopping immediately.

the bloke wasnt wearing a seatbelt that is why they chased him! but that sort of force clearly wasnt needed!

Another take on it - I'm not sure how it could be an 8 mile "chase" when the Police's own video shows a maximum of 30-40mph

With incidents like this, although they are obviously in the minority, it's little wonder so many "average" people have little respect for the Police.

So best make sure your side of the story is a winning possiion. Many many years ago I was assaulted by two police officers verbaly abused and ended up having to go to hospital to get treated for loss of feeling in my left hand, and this was a traffic stop with no basis as they admitted that they watched me get into my car and followed me from my house (I was on my way to collect my brother from the train station) He saw the whole thing at a distance.

Later on in life when I was able to ride my motor bikes I never stopped for the police if they pulled up alongside or put their lights on I dropped it 3 cogs waved and redlined it. sorry but for the most part the younger generation are all C@*&'s and fcuking liers. Even under oath!

ive never been stopped by the police yet, but i will use my phone to record the whole thing though... it has a shortcut to the voice recorder... so basicaly 2 buttons to record a convo! will be usefull to do this incase the worse happens, then you have evidence against them, if everyone had their own hidden secret stuff, then police like that will be powerless! muwhaha

im sorry but i think this is a load of bollocks theres no way them police did that just to stop him. there is defo more to this than is being shown in the video.

its easy to edit the first half of the video to make the police look bad

Whilst I'm sure there is more to the story than just this video (he had been prosecuted before), I doubt it was an edited video as the Telegraph reported it (and posted it) as being the one shown in court.

I doubt a daily newspaper would modify videos.

How they got there hands on a police video is another question.... but then it was the Telegraph who also got hold of the MP's expenses files.

I don't think they edited that as there are now 3 MPs and a Peer facing criminal prosecution and dozens of others who have quietly "resigned" their elected positions.

he hit a policeman while fleeing from a traffic stop then failed to stop, 2.7 tons of range rover will crush flesh and bone so i can understand the shock and awe tactics

i wonder. but still the police where abit mental going into that window! haha

I have very little confidence in the police, ive been through some right shit and the police were useless. I ended up taking the law into my own hands. It goes without saying i dont think ill be using them in the future. I dont think it was theyre fault, they were just wrapped up in paper work.

There is no excuse for this kind of behavior.
The excuse I was given over my assault was that they were stressed and it had been a long day. so that makes it ok for the police to assault humiliate and destroy private property. Carl I am sorry but if they cant do the job in a responsible manner then they should not have taken the job.

I always thought if you were reversing you could take off your seat belt. Anyway, completely over the top road raging cops at least two of them suspended from duty and quite rightly too. Would expect a bit more restraint from British policemen.

I may be wrong but it looks to me like the old kid may be known to the local rozzers as a bit of an antagonist/ dodgy geezer and decided to use the incident as a way to vent some anger towards him for things gone on in the past,

The sad thing is that these Plods are suspended from duty,and on nice pay!The way the first plod smashed the window was totally ott,he wants sacking and his pension taking off him,and whats the second Knobhead doing on the bonnet?Also does anyone notice the Skoda driver being told to do one!
Its like when you see these traffic cop programmes on the box,these Pigs are just big kids riding around in tuned up police cars which we pay for.Utter twats the lot of them.
