I've added the missing option for you.

TBH only you can decide what you want to do. The turbo engine will undoubtebly make more power, but is a far more complicated proposition to get running in the car.

Near Paris - France

You have to state how much and how long you can spend on the build.

The turbo setup you're mentionning doesn"t have enough details (as in "how much"), could be anywhere between 100 to 180 depending on how much boost aka what pistons.

N/A setup I don't know the output but it will probably have the car running earlier and for twice as less moneywise.

I think the question is do you want a somehow fast mini or do you like a technical challenge (and at the end of the build a really fast mini) ?

this is 1 only you can decid an as said above the turbo engine will be a bigger challange but the 1293 will cost alot less to build

take into consideration all of the cost, getting the webbers up and running, would cost me 1500£ at least, the turbo cost me more, which i tried to build on a tight spend.

seeing whats being offered at the mo, before i got into turbos, i would have thought about 7port with the option to turbo later.

mabe something to add there.

Until recently I would have said don't build either. Mainly because my experience of T3s gave the opinion that they should all be chucked in the bin. However, my recent purchase has a prety standard metro turbo engine and it's actualty great to drive.

Still I'd never build an engine with a T3, I'd use a more modern turbo.

I built my first turbo lump for about £800. Cost all depends on what you've got to start with? I just replaced to pistons, cam, turbo, carb etc.

If you've got a decent bottom end then just make sure the CR is suitable and box in good order. And build a 'standard' turbo setup using T3.

For the money, you'd make far more power with the turbo engine. With the NA engine you'd struggle to make the same power as the turbo engine is in standard form. *oh well*

have to agree - spec has a big input on cost etc.

A n/a spec will be a nice performer but i don't think it will come anywhere near even a relatively standard turbo install. having said that, it would be relatively easy other than setting up your webber and in honesty an SU should povide enough fuel at that level of tune.

From what I can gather you cant get pistons and rings for a 1275 turbo so it would suggest you have access to a Metro turbo motor for your build. If that is the case al you need to do is your tank modifications, easy, and your bulkhead mod, also easy.

On the other hand what’s the difference in building a n/a 1293 and a 1293 Turbo. Your going to be fitting new pistons in each, your going to fit a new cam in each and your going to fit a modified head to each, both engine installs will need to see the bulkhead modified. The gearbox you build will fit either. The only difference is do you spend on the webber carbs or a turbo, the difference between the two is minor considering what you possibly could have spent on the engine block.

Edit: You do realise this is Turbo minis your pol may be slanted a little *hehe!*
