If you have a larger return than pressure feed it will reduce the strain on the pump as it will only have to output high pressure upto the regulator. Once it comes out the reg its pressure will drop as it comes into the larger bore pipe.

main thing to check is that once its all in that you can lower the pressure right down. if it doesnt go down far enough then it shows that your return is too restrictive (or your feed is not restrictive enough) |

I run standard pipe work for the injection mini what ever size they are, but i'm sure there are much smaller than everyone say you need! so that's saying some thing isn't it, big isn't always best. Best 1/4 mile 13.2 seconds @116 mph

so if i do have trouble when i come to set the fuel pressure (to low) then i can just add a restrictor like, to the feed?

Can also depend on how strong the spring in the regulator is, even with the adjuster removed some regulators may only go down to 3psi. I have tried 2 different regulators, 1 went down to 2psi, the other to 3psi, simply because of the slighly different springs they had. -MINI CLUBMAN 1380 TURBO- |
