So following on from the thread the other week I had to renew my insurance last week.

Bearing in mind my age now begins with the number "3", I've a clean license and 6 years NCB, I was a little pissed off to say the least to have to fork out over £600 for a years comp cover. Yes I did shop around etc etc.

But the icing on the cake- they emailed me to remind me to send NCB proof in- no problem, just waiting for previous company to forward it. I replied to say as above, and to ask where my documents were- nothing yet received.
An email back- they want me to go on and print them out my bloody self! Cheeky twats, pay over £600 and they don't even post out the pissing certificate!

Mine was about the same, similar car and age, NCB etc. Rotherham is a crap post code for insurance.

Apparently HSBC made all their premiums to cheap for a while last year and now we're all paying for it...

Hmm, my main daily has come down (admiral) and also my mini (Flux but Chaucer instead of NIG) as 2nd car with all mods declared (only 998) with all the extras & admin charge was £230.

Bloke at work said his vette insurance renewal had gone up but flux managed to beat last years price.

I'm having a nightmare with my insurance (Hastings). As you probably know I had my zafira written off around a month ago. It was the other drivers fault. I'm still waiting for payment and a new insurance certificate for my new car (Fiat Multipla....Don't laugh)
I chose Hastings because they were the cheapest. It just goes to show that cheapest is not always best.

We did have a total loss earlier on in the year but theres only 4 of us on it.

Thats exactly why I got rid of the Transit...£750 they wanted, cheeky fookers. Again, age starting with 3, 14 NCB...clean licence! Hence bought Hyundai...even that is still £350!

Insurance on my mini and the daily nearly doubled this year despite having seperate full no claims on both.. Cancelled the minis policy and the dailys lapses soon, will get them both under a trade policy, loose agreed value and the perks but it's robbery!

Insurance is somthing I can never quite understand. I'm 24 with 5 years NCB. I'm paying £318 fully comp for my mini, 2 pages of mods declared and upto 150BHP, which is great. I also have a TVR Cerbera 4.5 which is about £700 fully comp. So I couldn't believe it when I bought an Audi Cabriolet 2.8 as a sensible daily only to find I was getting quotes of £2000 upwards, I did manage to get it down to £620 in the end but I was still really shocked as that was a lot more than I expected to pay. I am concerned that it is down to the recent rise in premiums and that come renewal time I might get quite a surprise. I use my NCB on the TVR and it is mirrored on the Mini which does explain it to an extent but still.

Yes but you are about 18 hence the cost, we've all been there and had to pay. I've done my fair share of exorbitant premiums, surely aged 30 it is time to not pay stupid prices?

Anyway the point of my rant was more directed at the twats not even sending me a certificate in the post. Following a few emails to their customer service dept pointing out I was pissed off they have now promised to post them out...I should bloody well think so too.
