I was reading all the threats about dry decking...... and im puzzeld..:)

the block is skimmed and ready to put in the new pistons , head has new valves....... and the i saw the item about drydecking....

is it wise while everything is prepared to put together already... to dry deck it anyway..

or are there easyer ways to do it with les machine work.

advice please

1293 cc , deepdish omegas, phase2, head with 32 cc chambers, bronze valveguides, bigger ilnlet valves ,gt1752 turbo ,dumpvalve, , crankshaft nitrated ,balanced, ultralight flywheel, grey clutch, megajolt.....and all the rest i forget at the moment :)

How far have you skimmed the block? If you put plugs etc into the water holes, you'd need to get the blocked skimmed again. If you've decked flush with the pistons, then you probably can't skim any further

as far as i can see i cant skim any further..is ther a way to put in tapperd plugs then?

You don't have to skim the block again, tap the holes & use grub screws like I did, here:

Deep dish Omegas like 18cc??

5:1 compression might be on the low side?
