hello ive built up my mini engine today and went o fit my turbo

Have you put the turbo on the manifold te correct way up? On 11th Feb, 2015 robert said:

If you put the turbo on upsidedown it'd hit the bulkhead not the engine surely.

It is a very close fit but a T3 fits with ease as above pictures required. Own the day

I think you may have got a ford rs T3? I think these have a larger compressor side. |

Looks a big turbine housing, Sausage man, have a look on the exhaust side, there should be the A/R number cast in somewhere, what is it?

compared to mine its got some lumps sticking out of it and it looks a lot bigger, so thats probably why its hitting.

if you look closely on the silver bit u can see a we bit of red that came of the bloke and thats wer its hitting..

some people on here have ground the block away above the fuel pump hole, where the casting is apparantly thick. so that may be the answer. Have a search for gt17's on mirage manifolds.
