i bought the MED flywheel +clutch+ back plate etc etc set up the light road one.

if you go to the minispares site and look for the verto lightweight flywheel it gives a step by step of how to calculate it, Yes i moved to the darkside |

The minispares version when available weighs 4kg.

what is the weight of a completely std flywheel, clutch? i have never weighed one,

I cant remember now, lol I have since scrapped the standard flywheel. I did the same and compared the standard with the lightened, and as said above, its only 1 kg lighter. I also compared the whole shebang with an ultralight set up and the verto was considerably heavier. However, im not fussed as now at least I know the standard cast item is not ging to go pop at 8krpm On 26th Oct, 2004 TurboDave16v said:

It isnt the overall weight that matters. it's where that weight is located.
