took my car out on a run last night for the first time, it was going quick and runnin pretty nice till my g box went pop, people said it my not last long but didnt think it would go that quick, any one cheapest place to buy straight gear kits and drops, ill rebuild my self just dont wanna spend to much

sorry to hear about that, Try Mini spares. Best 1/4 mile 13.2 seconds @116 mph

helical gears and turbo's go together a bit like weedkiller and sugar all ways ends up going bang some were down the line.

hateing the sound of that i've got the same standard gearbox and haven't really tryed it!!!

how old is the box and how much bhp is it dealing with?

Is it an engine-out job to put a minispares 4pin dif on? Previous Engine: 1040cc Morespeed engine, 1275 turbo head T2 Turbo Mirage Manifolds Megajolt

engine is a 1293 morspeed engine with piper t2 cam, fully worked crank, omega pistons dished to 18cc, morspeed booster head, 10 psi boost intercooled system. im guessing power to be round 130 140 but not had it r roaded yet, im gutted only drove it 1 hr, the box is only 6 months old, its 2nd gear thats stripped got other gears.

personaly speaking, drops are a first to go in, followed by the 4 pin diff and coming at a close 3rd a sccr set.

Why on earth do you want to buy the cheapest SC kit?? Buy a proper set, if not you'll be in the same situation again.
