Has anyone had this problem and can offer any advise

I am trying to remove the cylinder head but can't manage to remove the front middle stud, i think its the locating stud.
The stud is not stuck in the block, its stuck in the head, have tried using the two nut method but it just strips the top nut.

Hope that makes sence

Thanks Kenny, I saw that method on the mini forum but was a bit scared to try it.
