hi guys i have been sorting the car out and working out all the kinks

ive had a run out and the clutch slipped. I took it off and found it had a lip

on the flywheel and pressure plate had this machined off. And the thing is

a mate said he thought the shoulder bolts should be locked on to the back plate

im using 16mm long shoulder bolts. I thought they should be nipped on to the

springs but not bottom on the back plate. I also had some play in the pedal when

it was running. I wondered if anyone could tell me how many spacers or

washers they used under the head of the bolts and other measurements

to see if mine is correct before it goes back in the car.

Thanks steve

Hello chap,

yes the bolts should bottom out,

what you need to do is measure the diameter of the wire on the rings above and below the springs, and the thickness of the springs, add all those numbers together and you should end up with something like 10.8mm.

check that and also take a pic of your set up and report back :)
