Hi there,
i have a kent 274 camshaft,
intended for a fast road injection engine,
however i am toying with using it in my turbo engine as i have a theory it will be better than the standard turbo cam, due to the exhaust being open longer on the 274 cam.
can anyone out there offer me any advice on this matter and let me know if the idea is fesiable or just stupid.
also is a higher or lower comp ratio better for use in a turbo engine with this cam??

cheers all:)

The 266 is a better cam choice. you can run any cam you like but you wont enjoy driving the car. I ran a 286 and hated it, what a pig of a set-up.

I dont think you will like it but anything can be made to work and work well. And you will need a low cr around the mid to low 8s

The cam can't be considered in isolation so it is difficult to have an opinion with the information given. What turbo, what cc, what head, what type of use, etc, etc.

That said I can't think of anybody that has used that cam in a turbo so it will only be opinions you get.
