hey folks, thought it was about time i actually posted somthing.
Iv been reading on here for a good while now but though it was about time i got my finger out and started my own build thead. Seen im stuck at work and board out my mind sounded like a plan. What got all this started was my old swiftune 1380rr is worn out a bit and always fancied the twin cam. The final spec isnt really set im just kind of making it up as i go along as it seems to change every day, however the rough plan is 1293 k1100 turbo dry decked. Was thinking about starting with a gt17 but im not 100% yet.
i managed to pick up a standard 1275 complete for 50 quid and bought the conversion kit from motorworks. so far iv pluged the block and re drilled to suit the head stud pattern, heads been welded and when evntually get home ill take it into work and skim most of the weld off.
Ill add some pictures later on of my progress

will be great to see some pics, my only advice at this stage it to have the new stud holes drilled and tapped on a cnc machine, they must be straight and in line

Im needing to source an exhaust manifold plate so i can start fabrication of an exhaust. Have you folks just had it machined out a piece of stainless plate?

I think matty and sprocket have made individual plates for each port and then a machined bit that goes into the port.

Ill be doing some similar if I ever get there........

I made mine individually aswell, mainly due to ease of fabrication on the manifold tbh. Can laser cut another set(s) if interested, of the top of my head, was around £20 in stainless.
