fuel needs to be boost dependant, i dont see why you dont stick to whats tried and tested spi/mpi tank and turbo reg

i didnt know people done that, i thought that the carb will govern the fuel pressure and fuel pump only needed to be rated at bhp

If it is suck through then the carb does not operate under pressure, so a red top or whatever will suffice. Blow through needs the fuel pressure to stay above boost pressure, thus you need a rollervane pump and the correct regulator.

I was advised that I need a regulator set for a constant 3.5psi for my suck through setup.

Most of teh low pressure pumps are self regulating to a degree. In that they may only actually be capable o generating say 5psi or so

Although fitment of a regulator can certainly do no harm. All you need is adequate fuel flow. Pressure ability being suck through isnt a concern

Although to future proof it. Just do a standard turbo installation and regulator with an efi pump.

That will provide all the fuel you need, and should you ever decide to boost it properly in blow through, the fuel system is already in place.

i have recently sold all my turbo parts including tank and as i am on a very tight budget want to do a supercharger conversion for under 500 pound

i was thinking would this be ok as a regulator to control the pressure

and say this fuel pump

forgive me if im wrong but a particular member had alot of running problems using the cheapo adjustable fuel pressure regulator

and i dont think that fuel pump needs a regulator?

No. A piece of shit egay regulator intended for a high pressure fuel injected engine will not do.

That pump would do if it can provide adequate fuel flow for your needs.

Although it would have made more sense to retain your old fuel system.

I run a 3 psi Facet solid state for my bike carb suck through. I would just match it to the carb you are going to use.

I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.
VEMS + 12 PSI + Liquid Intercooler = Small Bore FUN!

i have a 40 webber now but will upgrade to the 45,

just been on some sites and the only pump that mentions webber is the red top but that suggests a double webber set up so just a plain facet solid comp will do surely
