Is this the princess motor? If so can't you adapt the box to fit the rover v8 and make a transverse v8? If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of. |

Thats the one V. There was another spag web or something which detailed the build. If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of. |

If you're doing V8 then you have to break all the rules and put the power to the back wheels On 11th Feb, 2015 robert said:

The 2200 E series is almost certainly too long to fit in the engine bay of a Mini anyway.

There is an Austin developments Metro that has one of these engines in it transverse. its on display in the BMH Museum. On 26th Oct, 2004 TurboDave16v said:
Is it A-Series only? I think it should be... So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'... On 26th Oct, 2004 Tom Fenton said:

Wrong forum but anybody thought of using an early SAAB 900 engine as they are designed to be on top of the gearbox ? Rusty by nature

Still baffles me why anyone would put such a powerful motor onto such a wank gearbox and stick it in a mini. At least the V8/Princess conversion tried to adress the gearbox issue, even though its still not the best. On 26th Oct, 2004 TurboDave16v said:
