ive searched and found out that the plenum is under pressure but when i went to join my carb to the plenum theres 2 holes for the bolts and then 2 more just above the 2 mounting holes. surely this doesnt make it air tight just wanting to know do i block these or leave them and has any one got a picture of the restrictor ring so i can see if my plenum has one or not. not that certain mine does and do you really need one

Not really sure what you mean. On the mounting face there are 4 holes

1 - A big one that the air goes through
2- one for the pressure feed to the float bowl
3 & 4 - mounting holes (these go through the plenum)

If you look at the rear of the plenum there are tow additional threaded holes for mounting the heat shield.
