i might get shot down for this but

with megajolt you can adjust it so just put 0 in the cells where you want the rev limitier to cut in

Retarding the ignition helps, but it is not a perfect rev limiter. I prefer a hard cut.

You don't need to set any cells to zero. There is a soft cut option where you just enter the revs you want it to operate at, and it will retard the ignition at that point.

I use one on mine, works well as you can rev through the soft cut!

imo soft cut might be ok on an n/a as it will rob alot of power but for a turbo motor you need a hard cut really,

as said, I run megajolt V4 with the soft cut limiter on my n/a 1380, and it stops it well in it's tracks at 7600rpm, but I can imagine with a turbo it'd easily pull past it

Is the hard cut limiter easy enough to wire into an existing setup?

V4 is really easy. V3 is a bit more awkward, but simple enough.

I used on on my 1380 n/a as the softcut would not stop it.

I made mine and Nick's (both V3) from some veroboard and some resistors dead easy cost me about 4quid IIRC..

It also allows you to use a very getto style launch control.
