ok kind of a bit long winded but here goes, decided to buy a new dump valve as mine didnt seem to do much so bought a new le mans one (diaphragm type) from my local "ive got a 500bhp nova cos its got led washer jets" shop, anyway fitted it and it worked fine at 7/8 psi making a noise and all but my car ran like shit even at idle like the coil was on the way out, put my old diaphragm dv on and the car ran fine, surely both dv's are closed at idle just dont get it

Guessing its not closed properly. Try taking the vacuum off it and sealing it. bet it idles fine.

cheers mate, got a refund anyway cos it sounded a bit pants, has anyone tried avonbars new piston dv with the new seals? the guy in the shop was a bit of a twat as well he didnt like me telling him i cant use a piston dv on my car think he was just trying to make money and hates talking to young un's!

Ive used a le-mans grpA one and also a forge GrpA one and they've both been really good. Still got my forge one for when the engine goes back in. not too fussed about the fuel contamination of the seals, not a big job to put some new ones in, or use i think "kalrez" O-rings as these do not swell when in contact with fuel.

i have seen them for as low as 62 quid, so shop around for best price and dont let any one kiddy you.

does that have a trumpet on it, want to make it sound like an evo or summat eventually, what boost you running benross?

NO trumpet sounds the biz

10 psi as standard up to .......ish
but its been moded alot
sounds great even at........... 4psi

shop around gav get the best price say you spent 2 qid on phone calls you could save 30qid

Just ordered a quad seal for my bailey dv made out of viton, gonna cost ?6+ but does not react with fuel. Just hope my measurements are correct!!!!!

Its loud, but sounds like a toilet flushing!

It seems to suck in air though at ceertain revs if the vacuum isnt enough before boost.

just rang avonbar they said to ring them back in two weeks then they will hopefully have bailey single dv's with different seals fo 70 quid, souds good to me

mine sounds cool. i like it anyway. roll on getting a new engine built so i can hear it again!
