right now i have got myself a carbon bootfloor i need to invest in alloy tank and fuel pump. my questions are...

How to the fuel level senders work if you fill the tank with foam? surely the foam will get in the way of the float :/ |

They are in a tube and you cut away the foam.

maybe work out a rough mpg and reset a trip comp every time you fill up, work out how far you will get on a tank and fannies your ant! |

so when it comes to mot time. jsut have a guage in there but it dont work lol. ideally if im not going to get one to work then i dont wont one. i dont mind using the wood trick tbh. ill prbs get a fairly big tank for a mini loike 6.5 gallon. then ill just work out rough mpg and check the tank when im close. i wont be driving the car much on long journeys anyone so at track days i can just check before next outing and the drag stipp same thing. and to tget to the places ill probs trailer it anyway unless its brands or lydden cos there local.
