My mini door dosent seem to line up right the door it's self needs to move towards the front a panel! I am wondering how this is done! Thanks mike |

There are some shims in between the hinge and the hinge panel On 11th Feb, 2015 robert said:

I will have to take a look on a dryer day, hopeduly there is or else what could I do? As want to sort it while the doors off! Mike |

I've seen cars where they have had a hinge panel repair section put in, but fitted inside the door shut. This effectively closes the gap up for the door by a couple of mm. On 11th Feb, 2015 robert said:

Or the hinge pins are badly worn - before altering shims (if there are any), can you lift the door up and down with it nearly closed ???

Also, there should be oval (removable) plates the other side of the A pillar where the nuts tighten down - if these have been ommited in the past and just nuts/washers used (or worse still just nuts) the weight of the door tends to distort the hole that the stud goes through allowing the door to drop or move backwards.
