just wondering what boost the standard pistons can take, thinking of getting a new cylinder head to drop the compression after the intercooler is in, what do boost do you think i can run? also what power roughly am i looking at?

If its all ok std pistons can take a lot. Its not the major weak point at all. Start looking more at the drops and diff as the weak points.

Id say on a std motor in good condition and tune with a drop in CR. 10psi would be on the safe side and you'd be looking at 120bhp ish

this question is for turbo dave, but i hazar a guess.

these pistons are pretty robust. 12 to 14 psi i have used these pistons for many thousands of miles myself
as long as you keep out of detanation. and dont put a wild cam in so you rev the nuts out of it in turbo applications the RPMs should be kept under 6500ish
