I've just finished running in the new engine and i have a leak on the primary gear oil seal. This is the second seal that's been fitted due to the first one leaking aswell.

The engine had a new standard rear bush fitted that was honed to size and a minispares floating front bush fitted. End float was then set at 5 thou.

A new seal was fitted with the minispares sleeve tool that pushes it in square with the crank bolt.

I used this seal both times: http://www.minispares.com/Product.aspx?ty=...id=34874&title=

Why would the new seal be leaking?

Germini, black forrest

I too had trouble with the orange seals, but never with the black LUF10005 ones fitted to injection cars :) Why that is - I have not the slightest of clues... :)
