Hi all. Since getting the car back, its been running like a dream, really good fun. But, slowly, starting it has been a pain. The battery was flat when i first got it back and i keep it on trickle charge now but it still struggles to start the car. It now also appears the starter motor is on its way out because when you turn the key, it clicks but doesn't turn over. Whack it and eventually it does but then the battery is mullered! lol so is it just bad luck they have both died at the same time or could there be more to it? I also got the jump leads out on it earlier and even that wouldnt start it? The earth leads (ive got two from the battery for some reason!) is really warm too. Thanks for any help guys feature=mhum |

Prob a dodgy connection somewhere, either earth strap or the conection on the stater or solenoid if you have the early type starter |

the solenoid is on the brace bar. The earth strap from the battery was warm. Its a little loose but the other strap that is connected to the terminal clamp is tight to the battery. feature=mhum |
