On Thursday, I made the long trip back to Benross HQ to pick up my engine. After being stuck in traffic for hours we made it to Steves. Cups of tea all round and hot bacon made us forget about the drive up...cheers Steve....Northern hospitality is second to none.

When I bought the engine up to Steve last time I decided to get him to build the engine, time seems to be against me these days and it's taken me 4 plus years to get the car ready for paint and I want this project finished.

So for the money shot.....

Very pleased with the engine, it’s complete and ready to drop in all shiny... hopefully only be another 2 months and she'll be running.

Some details... :)
1293cc
Accralite 14cc Pistons with ARP Bolts
Benross Head 28cc
Straight Cut Box & Drops
Double Grey Clutch
ultra Light flywheel
Avonbar Phase 2 Cam
Lighened Duplex Timing Chain
1.3 Roller Rockers
4 pin diff, 2.9 FD
New bearings and fasteners.
Flowed Exhaust manifold and elbow

If anyone wants the full spec let me know.

Looking forward to joining the Turbo’d Mini club very soon.
Mark

That sounds bloody awesome.....

What is the full spec?

Know what you mean... £250 this week for tyres... then side mounted rad £200... need to order the mega jolt.... it all mounts up. opps forgot the £1450 for painting...

Wish I was just played on a megadrive or on a SNES. Would be far cheaper!!
