Finallly got my SC 1380 built and on the road.

Going to Lynx AE in milton keynes. Going for a full ignition and fuel map. He does not know megasquirt that well but does seem to know his minis.

Looks like he has mapped a turbo mini using polestar management. I'm pretty sure it someone off of here?

Looking at my datalogs... seem to be getting similar charge temps to Andy500

Anyway wish me luck..... I hope everything goes well.

I will post the results tomorrow all being well *happy*

I used this guy last year and he is very good at tuning race engines, but I wonder if he is quite as good at setting up a car for road use.He said my needle was spot on, but it clearly wasnt, except at full throttle.

He is also the guy who said I was optimistic at expecting to get more than 100bhp from a turbo A series, as reported in an earlier thread.

Having said all that he is friendly and interesting and he certainly has a good workshop setup with an eddy current dyno. The rollers were set very low when I was there, which meant that i grounded out as the suspension bounced when the car dropped in to them -he was going to sort this.

Good luck.

£70 isn't too bad a price - I've been quoted £95+VAT.....

Hi all

Well I'm back from session...

Jon was fantastic... Spent time along side him helping to put figures into megasquirt and had a brief go on the rollers.

Anyway a few little mishaps along the way. The first one of the day the bonnet popped up at 50mph straight onto the screen(guess who forgot to fit the check strap)

Next the fuel pump gave up halfway through the session. Jon took me to local factors to grab a new one.

All stations go..... Fuelling pretty much setup

Anyway on to the timing. Got a few cells filled the upper end of the table Jon said didn't look to bad. The lower end he instantly said it would need to be around 40degs..... Guess what he was spot on.

Anyway it was running a little on the hot side as revs and load went uu

We called it a day and i will go back once cooling is solved and filter before the pump.

Best result of the day on a stable load was around 100bhp at flywheel so should hopefully be more to come. Setting the lower end gave around 10bhp more.

Well the story so far.... To be continued!!
