Well joe (joeybaby83) and I did a weigh in of my mini doors last night and it's not too bad at all, no doubt saving a fair few kg's, mostly from doing away with the glass. Anyway, with one of my mini doors stripped out on the inside (going to fit carbon door cards to cover the hole), fitted with an aluminium door skin and then including the door lock mechanism and perspex window, we came to 11kg in total. Does anyone know the weight of a standard door including glass etc? It's safe to say they are now only a 'wafffer' thin so a side impact will have to be avoided at all costs, but i'm happy with the weigh in result at least. "If i'm not in action...i'm in traction" |
