The clicking noise problem was my dashpot oil too low!!! topped it up, and the noise went. i have NO dashpot spring though and never had, could this be my probem of flat spots in the rev range? When i floor it it takes ages to build up. Im relaly hoping it is this because its an easy fix, the rolling road didnt pick up on this tho :/

Are they same as the 998 springs because i have them *happy*

Definately get yourself a dashpot spring asap definately before you go back to the rollers. The combination of spring and damping oil prevents the dashpot rising too quickly when you floor the throttle. In your case when you floor it, it will be going far too rich very quickly, and then evening out.

All these things like springs and clips and valves on engines are there for a reason, if you knew there wasn't one there why didn't you get one before now!!!

And no I don't think they are the same as the 998 one. They are coded by colour which is some dye on the spring windings. The Haynes manual will tell you what the correct colour for a turbo is I cannot remember off the top of my head. Or I think Avonbar sell an uprated one to go with their high boost needles?

No dashpot spring! LMFAO!!!

Well we all know now if an SU will work without a spring!

Is this work of the guy you sold / bought back from or the person before you (did you buy it ready converted)?

Still Laughing at why anyone would take the spring out alltogether!!!

I'd get a stock spring for up to 10psi - going up a spring changes things a fair bit.
Jukka is the expert on springs and their effects - maybe he can chip in here?

Yeah it runs fine, except if you put your foot down in 3rd or fourth it takes about 15 seconds to build up to 3000 revs, after that it has no power lololol

go for standard.

Hell, get one of each! That way you've got it for if it 'does' need another spring on the rollers....
