Hi all, ive been reading a bit about the Janspeed turbo conversion they did for the metro years ago, now the writing bigs it up a bit naturally but I was just wondering if anybody has any history with it/using it?

Seems to me just a marketing ploy by mounting things in different places, one advantage was not having to make a bulkhead box I spose. *happy*

The Janspeed setup is a pretty good design, with the Turbo mounted over the clutch housing allowing cool air to pass over and around it. This also keeps the heat away from the carb, unlike the Metro.
Carburation is through a Dellorto 40 and the Turbo is a Rotormaster unit with external wastegate. Head is mildly worked and chambers opened to drop the compression, pretty standard otherwise.
Mines tucked away, waiting for a rainy day ................. *wink*
Here it is in all its, er ...... glory. lol

LMAO@ Dave !! *laughing**laughing*

No i bought it off a guy who'd had it in a lockup for about 12years, it was for his kitcar project. Anyway he never used it and was wanting to move abroad, so i stepped in and handed over a few notes.*wink*
