Hey guys, just went to change my air filter on the Lupo and found it in this state:

Im a bit puzzled, the engine runs fine, maybe a little lumpy at idle and no smoke. any suggestions?

Cheers

Blocked breather would be the most obvious problem. If one side is blocked it causes excessive crankcase pressure and oil then spits up through the remaining breather. I've replaced breather canisters before but not on that engine

Cheers gary, i checked the breather that feeds into the air box and there was hardly any signs of oil.

Yeh, breathers.

I found this on the wifes Arosa, and the breathers were solid with Mayo.

Is it A-Series only? I think it should be...
So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

just time to change your air filter, it certainly was restricting, then making more vaccum suck to breathers. chnage it for vw one, and see in some miles
