im buying new straight cut drop gears to go with sccr gearbox rebuild, anyone now best ratio to stick with? im runnin metro turbo diff ratio of 3.2 i think and 13"inch wheels, is it best to go 1:1 and keep a bit of top or is it a major difference goin 1:.8,
help is most kind, i not gonna be trackin all the time so i want all round performance i suppose, also is this a good diff ratio?

I'd stick with 1:1. Other drop gear ratios (I think) are really for fine tuning the diff ratio which isn't really that important unless you're racing.

I think that 2.9 is a popular FD ratio on big power turbos (but that's with 10s) so 3.2 on 13" sounds about right. That's a guess. But it wouldn't take long to work out speed v. RPM for both for a comparison.

Which gear ratios are you running?? A 2.9 diff and a S/C C/R gearbox would be HORRIBLE. An S/1300GT set on the other hand would work fine with that FD.

on 1:1, whats the teeth config for them? For example i believe a 23 tooth primary is a good stong one, so what number of teeth are needed for the idler and input gears to achive a 1:1 ??

What indicates the ratio is to divide the primary number of teeth into to the input gear. If the primary is 23teeth and the input 23, you've got 1:1 The idler doesn't matter at all.
